Prior to becoming a real estate agent, Melanie attended the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in business with a concentration in marketing. Today, Melanie is a member of the Realtor Association of Greater Fort Lauderdale and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). David Schrand

David Schrand is a multi-million dollar producer at One Sotheby's International Realty where he and his wife Melanie specialize in luxury properties from Miami to Fort Lauderdale. With his disciplined military background, vast experience in construction and design, and fierce negotiating skills, David provides clients with an elite real estate transaction experience.

Born and raised in Ohio, David enlisted with the US Marine Corps in the 1960's spending four years as a sergeant. In 1969 he earned a Purple Heart in Vietnam and left the service shortly thereafter in 1972. David was immediately drawn to Florida's endless summer weather as well as its no local income tax policy and decided to move to the state. It was here that he discovered his passion for real estate.

David quickly developed a talent for transforming commercial properties from ordinary deals into highly desirable investments. He spent many years as a successful franchise business owner buying commercial properties to refurbish and then selling the property with the business as a complete enterprise. During this time, he met his wife Melanie and decided to alter his career path taking his superior construction and business expertise to the luxury residential real estate market.
